Divine Service: The Nativity of St. John the Baptist

On June 24, Adult Bible Class will be at 8:45 am; worship, including a children's message, will follow at 10 am. (Sunday School is in recess for the summer months.) There will be no evening service on Monday, June 25.

Isaiah prophesies the cry of John the Baptist, "Prepare the Way of the Lord." (Isaiah 40:1-5) John is the one chosen to usher in the era of the Messiah, boldly preaching a baptism of repentance. He is the one to be called Prophet of the Most High, preparing the way for Jesus Christ, conveying knowledge, forgiveness, mercy & salvation. (Luke 1:57-80) John faithfully heralds the One whose sandals he is not worthy to untie. (Acts 13:13-26)
