On Monday, July 29, join us for Prayer at the Close of the Day at 7 pm.
Throughout the ages, God's people converse with Him through prayer. Abraham pleads for the preservation of the righteous few, even in the midst of outrageous sin. The Lord tempers His anger, assuring Abraham of His grace. (Genesis 18:17-33) The Church's liturgy is also a conversation between God & His people, shaped by confession of guilt & the outpouring of divine forgiveness! (Colossians 2:6-19) The Lord's Prayer is the axis where confession, faith, sin & pleading for God's goodness converge. As the Lord instructs, we are privileged to pray. (Luke 11:1-13)
