Prayer of the Season:

Almighty and everlasting God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, since you have given us grace to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity by the confession of a true faith, and to worship the true Unity in the power of your divine majesty, keep us also steadfast in this true faith and worship, and defend us ever from all our adversaries; through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, Amen.

We Believe

  • that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are the verbally inspired Word of God.
  • that God is one divine essence in three persons -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • that human beings are not the product of evolutionary development, but were created innocent; however, in their  present fallen estate, human beings are entirely depraved, and enslaved in the service of sin.
  • that sin is a transgression of the Divine Law, and that human beings are subject to death and eternal damnation by reason of the guilt that attaches to sin.
  • that God in his infinite mercy, resolved to save mankind and that the divine Redeemer appeared in Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of the Virgin Mary and the Son of God.
  • that all who penitently accept Christ as the one and only Savior in sincere faith are justified in the sight of God and made heirs of salvation.
  • that the sacrament of Baptism is a means of grace which truly offers the grace of God and forgiveness of sin.
  • that in the sacrament of the Lord's Supper the recipients of Holy Communion receive, in, with, and under the bread and wine the true body and blood of Jesus Christ.
  • that Christ will visibly return to the earth on the Last Day to judge the living and the dead.
  • that all Christians are royal priests and therefore have free access to God the Father.
