Messiah will hold its weekly Divine Service on Sunday, February 8th at 10:00 am; the service is scheduled to be livestreamed at www.youtube.com/messiahgr, our website and our Facebook page. Adult Bible Class will be held beforehand at 9:00 am, and children’s Sunday School will be held following the Divine Service, beginning about 11:15 am.

To know God intellectually, merely to exercise a fasting ritual without faith, can be devoid of purpose. But through the Holy Spirit, the wisdom of God is made known to us in our hearts & minds. Then acts of mercy for those enmeshed in poverty, wickedness & hunger season the world with God’s graciousness & righteousness. In these moments, God’s favor is made known, light shines, good works are done, and God alone is glorified. (Psalm 119:9-16; Isaiah 58:3-9a; 1 Corinthians 2:1-16; Matthew 5:13-20)
