This Fall:

  • Sunday School (for children aged Preschool through Grade 8) will be held weekly after the Divine Service, beginning Sunday, September 14th at 11:15 am!

Every week, children will spend time immersed in the rich gifts of God’s Word. They’ll hear, respond and learn by heart, making connections with our Lord through His gifts of prayer, songs & music, story & poetry, images & art, nature & ideas.

  • Bible Class meets on Sundays at 9:00 am. On Sunday, September 7th, we’ll begin the video-based series Jesus: Legend or Lord? presented by Dr. Paul Maier, with discussion led by Pastor Eric Black.

  • LifeLight is a nine-week small-group study that meets during the week; it's held twice a year, beginning in September and in January.  This September, we’re excited to present two new LifeLight opportunities: one focusing on the parables of Jesus, and another exploring selected psalms.

Women are invited to study the ParablesTuesday mornings at 10:30 am starting September 16th. Dive into the heart of Jesus’ teaching, where everyday stories reveal eternal truths about God's kingdom, grace, and our lives. These powerful, memorable lessons invite us to reflect, repent, and trust more deeply in the mercy and wisdom of Christ. Through them, we see not only what God values but how He calls us to live.

Everyone is invited to study "Selected Psalms," Wednesday evenings, 6:00 pm beginning September 17th. These ancient songs teach us how to pray honestly, trust deeply, and worship faithfully in every season of life. Even Jesus prayed the Psalms—in His ministry, in His suffering, and on the cross—showing us that these prayers shape the life of faith. Rooted in God’s Word and promises, the Psalms draw our hearts closer to Him and teach us to respond to both trials and blessings with hope and praise.

  • CARES (Caring, Active, Reaching, Encouraging Sisters in Christ) meets weekly on Wednesdays at 9:45 am beginning October 8th. This women’s book discussion group is continuing its study of Leaning on Jesus: A Study of God’s Strength by Deb Burma.

  • The West Michigan Confessional Study Group meets on the first Thursday of each month at 10:00 am. Pastors and laypeople of the greater Grand Rapids area pray together (using the order of service Matins), study the Lutheran Confessions together, and fellowship together over lunch!
