Janice Reister, Mother of Deb Krueger, 1931-2025

Dear brothers and sisters of Messiah,

Janice (Kolberg) Reister, the mother of Deb Krueger, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the age of 94, after a lengthly illness.  Janice's family is deeply grateful that the people of Messiah kept her in prayer in recent years.

We mourn Janice's passing along with her family and friends.  But we also rejoice that Janice is free from her earthly sufferings, and is now in the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ, awaiting the resurrection of the body on the last day.

Janice's funeral service will be held at her home congregation Trinity Lutheran Church in Conklin (located at 1379 Harding St) on Saturday, October 18th at 1:00 pm. Visitation with be held before the service at 12:00 noon, and a luncheon will follow the service and the committal at Trinity's cemetery.  Visitation will also be held on Friday, October 17th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at North Ridge Funeral Home in Sparta (located at 88 E. Lord God, maker of heaven and earth and giver of life, we thank You for all the mercies You granted to our sister Janice during her earthly life, especially for calling her to faith in Jesus Christ. Comfort all the survivors who mourn Janice's death with the hope of the glorious resurrection and a joyful reunion in heaven. Keep us mindful that we are mortal so that we will ever be prepared to die in the faith and finally receive the glory promised to all who trust in Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.
