Advent Prayer Braakfast
ADVENT PRAYER BREAKFAST—DECEMBER 13th: During Advent, we pray, “Come, Thou long expected Jesus … from our fears and sins release us” (LSB 338:1). You are invited to Messiah’s annual Advent Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, December 13th, at 9:30 am.
Enjoy breakfast and fellowship, followed by a service in the sanctuary featuring music, Confession and Absolution, Scripture, meditation, and prayer. Please sign up at the Welcome Center.
Caroling to Homebound Members
We’ll share the Gospel in song with homebound members and residents at senior living and care facilities. A pizza party at church will follow caroling, supplied by a generous donor. Sign up at the Welcome Center or in Bible Class.
Game Night
We are having a game night on Saturday, November 8th, at 6:00! You have looked at all the pictures in the Directory. Now you can get to know those faces better. We are going to play a crazy card game that is guaranteed to make you laugh. We will have snacks, but feel free to bring a snack to share if you like. Holiday Baskets Collection Drive
HOLIDAY BASKETS ARE BEING PREPARED for the Christmas season! We are looking for gift cards to Meijer and Family Fare, as well as canned fruit and vegetables, stuffing mix, instant mashed potatoes, jars of gravy, Jiffy cornbread mixes, canned cranberry sauce, boxed desserts, and cake mix and frosting.
These items will be used to support our church families in need and will also be given to NECM to help families in our community.
If you can provide a gift card, please get it to Joe and Becky. Food donations can be placed on the donation table. There, you will also find envelopes. If you prefer to give a monetary donation, we’ll be happy to purchase gift cards or needed items on your behalf.
All donations are needed by November 16th. Thank you for considering a donation to help those in need this Christmas season!

Trunk or Treat
Neighborhood, preschool, and church children and their families are welcome for this annual event, held on Thursday, October 30th from 6:00 to 7:30 pm!
We plan to hold Trunk or Treat outdoors (though we will have a backup plan in case of wet weather). Our families will give away treats from the trunks of decorated cars in our parking lot. We’ll also have light snacks, carnival games, contests for adults and kids, and more.
We hope you’ll be part of the fun! Messiah is located at 2727 Five Mile Road NE, between Plainfield Avenue and the East Belt Line.
