Gregory DeGlopper, 1952-2025

Dear brothers and sisters at Messiah,

Our brother in Christ Gregory DeGlopper was called home to be with our Lord on October 13, 2025, at the age of 53. Greg was baptized, grew up and was confirmed in the Christian faith at Messiah; in recent years, he and his family were grateful for the spiritual care of Messiah's pastors and the prayerful support of God's people.

We grieve over Greg's passing with his mother Pat Mull, with his daughters Cloey & Emma, and with all of his family and friends.  But we are also grateful that Greg is free from his earthly sufferings, and is now in the presence of his Savior Jesus Christ, awaiting the resurrection of the body on the last day.

The funeral service for Greg will be held at Messiah on Saturday, October 25th at 12:00 noon, with visitation beforehand at 10:00 am and a luncheon following the service. Greg's complete obituary is available online.

Please keep all those who knew and loved Greg in your prayers in the coming days; feel free to use the prayer below as a model.

Lord God, maker of heaven and earth and giver of life, we thank You for all the mercies You granted to our brother Gregory during his earthly life, especially for calling him to faith in Jesus Christ. Comfort Pat and all the survivors who mourn Greg's death with the hope of the glorious resurrection and a joyful reunion in heaven. Keep us mindful that we are mortal so that we will ever be prepared to die in the faith and finally receive the glory promised to all who trust in Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.
