Dear brothers and sisters of Messiah,
Our brother in Christ Dale Robart was called home to be with our Lord on August 3, 2025, at the age of 77, after a period of illness. Dale and his wife Sandi became members of Messiah in 2020; during his time as a member, Dale was faithful and active in worship, Bible study and fellowship; he also recently served as Messiah's treasurer.
We grieve over Dale's passing with Sandi, and with all of Dale's family and friends. But we are also grateful that Dale is free from his earthly sufferings, and is now in the presence of his Savior Jesus Christ, awaiting the resurrection of the body on the last day.
Visitation for Dale will be held on Thursday, August 7th at Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 4291 Cascade Rd SE in Grand Rapids from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. The funeral service for Dale will be held at Messiah on Friday, August 8th at 11:00 am, with visitation beforehand at 10:00 am and a luncheon following the service. Dale's complete obituary is available at Metcalf & Jonkhoff's website.
Please keep all those who knew and loved Dale in your prayers in the coming days; feel free to use the prayer below as a model.
Lord God, maker of heaven and earth and giver of life, we thank You for all the mercies You granted to our brother Dale during his earthly life, especially for calling him to faith in Jesus Christ. Comfort Sandi and all the survivors who mourn Dale's death with the hope of the glorious resurrection and a joyful reunion in heaven. Keep us mindful that we are mortal so that we will ever be prepared to die in the faith and finally receive the glory promised to all who trust in Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Yours in Him,
Pastor Eric Black & Rick Krueger
