Dody Reinke, 1938-2026

Dear brothers and sisters of Messiah,

Our sister in Christ Dody (Delores) Reinke was called home to be with our Lord this morning, Monday, June 29, 2026 at the age of 88, following a long illness.

Dody and her husband Dale have been members of Messiah since its chartering in 1964. Until the final stages of her illness, Dody was faithful and active in worship and Bible study, in the work of Messiah's Altar Guild (which she served as president for 25 years) and Parish Services Guild, and in many other areas of our life together.

We grieve over Dody's passing with Dale, their sons Todd and Craig, and with all of her family and friends.  But we are also grateful that Dody is free from her earthly sufferings, and is now in the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ, awaiting the resurrection of the body on the last day.  

The funeral service for Dody will be held this Thursday, July 2nd at 11:00 am at Messiah. Visitation will precede the service starting at 10:00 am; a luncheon will follow the service. Dody's complete obituary will be available soon at Pederson Funeral Home’s website.

Please keep all those who knew and loved Dody in your prayers in the coming days.  Feel free to use the prayer below as a model.

Lord God, maker of heaven and earth and giver of life, we thank You for all the mercies You granted to our sister Dody during her earthly life, especially for calling her to faith in Jesus Christ. Comfort Dale and all the survivors who mourn Dody's death with the hope of the glorious resurrection and a joyful reunion in heaven. Keep us mindful that we are mortal so that we will ever be prepared to die in the faith and finally receive the glory promised to all who trust in Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.
