Messiah begins Holy Week with our weekly Divine Service on Sunday, March 29th at 10:00 am; the service is scheduled to be livestreamed at www.youtube.com/messiahgr, our website and our Facebook page. Adult Bible Class will be held beforehand at 9:00 am, and children’s Sunday School will be held following the Divine Service, beginning about 11:15 am.

Crowds pursue Jesus to see Him, hear Him, ridicule Him, and finally crucify Him. The sequence from popularity to persecution unfolds on this Sunday of the Passion. Hosanna accolades would be stifled by jeering mockery. The imagery of palm branches would be obscured with the bloodied palms wounded head of Jesus. Within a week, Christ is adorned in beauty & fame, scorning & shame. For us, He decidedly unravels death’s deadly sting! (John 12:12-19; Isaiah 50:4-9a; Philippians 2:5-11; Matthew 27:11-66)
